Burger King service is 100% nuts, even if their Impossible Whopper isn’t!
I do my best to defend so many commercial decisions, but I cannot defend Burger King for grilling their vegan burger, the Impossible Whopper, on the same grill that they use for meat products.
In a society that is becoming increasingly passionate about food choices and is forever on the lookout to claim compensation from the big corporations, this was 100% nuts. Totally stupid!
A class action is being brought Phillip Williams of Fulton County, Georgia, USA, who said, “he had been duped by Burger King’s deceptive practices into eating a meat-free Whopper Patty that was in fact covered in meat by-products.”
This case appears, according to the press, to be a complete failing to understand their customers. But do we really have all the facts? Was this a simple error and an isolated event? I’d love to know more. If anyone at Burger King would like to comment, I’d be pleased to share the other side of the story, if there is one. Whatever the circumstances, the damage to Burger King reputation, profits and share value is likely to be substantial. Customers may be upset by this issue but not nearly as much as the shareholders.
